Transcriptionist?
Medical transcription is the written
record of people receiving medical care. This record
documents patient care and treatment history which
include history and physical reports, clinic notes,
office notes, operative reports, consultation notes,
discharge summaries, letters, psychiatric evaluations,
laboratory reports, pathology and x-ray reports.
A medical record is the compilation of many different
specialties of medicine. A medical transcriptionist
creates a medical and legal document from what he/she
hears via a tape recorder or digital dictation system.
